I think I was awake more than I was asleep last night.
…looking at the clock at 12:27am when Mr. Rosey came to bed and kissed my cheek
…getting up at 1:25am to help Little Miss C after a bad dream
…hearing Big Sis M at 3:06am in the bathroom
…throwing off the quilt at 4:32am because I was hot
…waking up at 5:33am and thinking “I should just get up” and didn’t
…and then finally getting out of bed at 6:02am to start the day.
Not a lot of sleeping last night. Sigh….
Little Miss C had to be at school at 6:45am for cantering and it was a huge struggle to get her out of bed. In reality, I wanted to scoot in beside her, pull up the blankets and have both of us go back to sleep. Wouldn’t that be lovely?
At breakfast with Big Sis M, I let her know I was tired and would be dragging this afternoon. I would probably be grouchy and grumpy and to please have patience with me. HINT HINT: Please don’t go all pre-teenager on me this afternoon, because I won’t be able to handle it well.
I had a whole list of “to dos” for today and I’m working at about half speed, so nothing is really getting checked off the list except a few loads of laundry. I feel like I’m walking through mud.
Now I’m at the end of my day and wondering “Where’s the magic today?”. Because I am so tired, it is hard to see any magic during my day, but I’m forcing myself to come up with a list.
My magic today….
- I saw the sun rise and it was gorgeous.
- Both Girlies had a good day at school.
- There are some clean clothes in our drawers.
- We didn’t have bowls of cereal for dinner. I made dinner.
- I found these pictures from a garden walk this summer (love summertime).
- Mr. Rosey is home.
- I get to go to sleep now.
When you have a hard day, do you stop to find something magical in your day? I hope so, because it’s there if we simply look.
Please share – What was good in your day today?
