There are a few things that remind me of spring… tulips, daffodils, the sound of the birds chirping again, the start of the Lenten Season, the sun peeking over the horizon before I wake up in the morning instead of pitch black darkness, and pastel Easter baskets and chocolate bunnies. In Chicagoland, it seems like winter is the longest season to me, particularly this year. But if I look closely, there are signs that spring is close. The sun is starting to peek over the horizon in the morning. The Lenten Season begins this week and our family has some prayerful things planned to give glory to Jesus. We also have an extra special occasion to look forward to this spring. Little Miss C is making her First Holy Communion, which is a wonderful way to celebrate the Easter season for our family!
I welcome each morning, while watching the sunrise.
I smile as I walk by the Easter baskets and chocolate bunnies in the store.
I prepare for Lent and the celebration of Easter.
I buy tulip bunches and feel joyous seeing the beautiful, delicate blooms. Hello spring!
And to welcome spring with friends, The Scoop is hosting a Mega Spring Link Party. There are over 35 bloggers participating, which is a wonderful way for all of us to share our spring inspiration. I’ll be sharing some spring projects this week too.
It’s a great way for your spring projects to be seen and for new readers to find you, so be sure to link up, too – all week, March 3rd – March 7th.
