Last year, we made Mr. Rosey a Father’s Day paint swatch card. I’d say it is his FAVORITE Father’s Day gift so far. In fact, he keeps it in is bedside chest drawer, where he keeps other special mementos = treasured!
It was so easy and fun to make. The Girlies and I went to Home Depot and they each picked out a handful of paint swatch cards. To keep the overall card uniform, they had to pick from the same paint manufacturer and I helped them select colors that were complimentary. Keep in mind the kiddos will be writing on the paint swatch, so you probably want to stay away from really dark colors.
Then we punched a hole at the top of each card, threaded a jump ring (which you can get at any office supply store) and tied on a pretty ribbon. Even for Dad, a pretty ribbon makes all the difference (insert smiley face). If you don’t have a jump ring, you can also thread some ribbon through the hole and tie a bow.
And that’s it. Precious – 100%! Thoughtful – For sure! Simple – Yep! Inexpensive – Check! The Girlies had fun making their Father’s Day paint swatch card and Mr. Rosey loved receiving it!
I shared our Father’s Day paint swatch card as part of Nap-Time Creations’s Summer Fun Series. Each Thursday during the summer, four bloggers will share a fun summertime craft, food or project. In Week 2, I shared the Father’s Day Paint Swatch Card and my friends also shared:
