Click, Inspire, Smile Day 9:: Chicken and Dumplings

Hello.  This is Day 9 of my Click, Inspire, Smile 31 day series. To read all the posts in order, start with Day 1 and I hope you find goodness throughout the entire month of October.

Chicken and dumplings

“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces – just good food from fresh ingredients.”  ~ Julia Child

Amen Sista!  I couldn’t agree more.  Using the freshest and bestest (I know it’s not a word, but it rhymes with freshest) ingredients make all the difference in a dish.

Sometimes a classic dish that Grandma (ahhh… Grandma) used to cook like chicken and dumplings is perfect, especially if it’s a cool day and someone is sick at home.

Cough.  Cough.  Sneeze.  Sniffle.

That’s what’s happening here.  Three out of four Roseys have a cold and it just seemed like some homemade chicken broth taken up a notch with dumplings was just what the doctor ordered.  I do think everyone felt a little better after slurping down a bowl of yummy goodness made with momma’s love.  It was really tasty.  I’ll share the recipe with you next month.

For now, don’t you just love Julia Child and hate colds?

Until tomorrow my friend~
